Maybe in seventh grade... Mom had a boyfriend. And she got pregnant. But her insides have always been a little messed up since she recovered from cancer, so the baby couldn't live. She had to have an abortion, and she told me she  turned away from the screen because it was too painful to watch. I wonder what it could've been like. I would have a three-year-old brother or sister now. Maybe things would have been different. Maybe I could've taught them what I wish I'd known when I was young, and spared them some of the painful bits.
